The SVDP Store is a bargain hunters dream.  You can find anything and everything in our store at economical prices.                                               

Thru your generous donations (which are tax deductible) the store is able to provide household goods, clothing, furniture, and other necessities free to those in need.  We are always in need of:

Donations can either be brought to the store during store hours (someone is always there to assist you) or we will gladly come and pick up your donations.  Just call the store and ask for Linda, Mike, or Patty and they will assist you in scheduling time for us to come and  pick up your items.  Tax receipts are provided.

Another way to help us in our mission is to volunteer your time and talents at the store.  Any amount of time you are able to volunteer at the store would be very much  appreciated.  Some of our volunteer opportunities are:

• Book Store and Record Volunteer:  Maintain a neat and orderly environment for music and book buyers.
• Clothing Volunteer:  Assist in sorting donated clothes into various categories and hang them up to be priced and delivered to the sales floor.  Help to maintain a neat
• and orderly environment for customers to easily find desired items.
• Furniture Volunteer:  Assess and perform any minor adjustments, clean up or repair all types of furniture. 
• Glassware Volunteer:  Assist in checking for breakage or chips, washing and cleaning of glassware items along with arranging them on the sales floor.
• Small Appliance Volunteer:  Inspect, clean up and perform required minor repairs on lamps, televisions, toasters and other small household appliances.  Assist in arranging these small appliances on the sales floor.
• Maintenance Volunteer Outside:  Maintain the grounds surrounding the outside of our buildings.  Empty trash containers located outside the store.  Discard debris found on our property.  Shovel snow, cut grass and remove weeds when needed.  Wash windows outside as well as inside our store front buildings. 
• Maintenance Volunteer Inside:  Sweep floors, vacuum, dust shelves, clean restrooms, empty garbage, and break down boxes for disposal.
• Toy Store Volunteer:  Clean and display toys for our toy department to help attract customers to our toy area.  Make sure boxes of games and puzzles are kept sealed.

All of the above are very important jobs that need to be done on a daily basis in order to keep our store at its best.  We hope you can find one or more of these jobs appealing to you and look forward to having you assist us with your talents.
