Thrift StoreOur thrift stores provide much of the revenue that funds our programs to provide assistance.
Our thrift store is the public face of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Our store attract people with all kinds of budgets who are looking for great deals on gently used goods. We appreciate that. We want them – and you – to shop our stores.
Why We Run Stores
Our stores serve two major functions related to our mission of offering help to Ozaukee County neighbors in need:
1) The stores provide much of the revenue that funds our programs providing assistance to hundreds of local households struggling with poverty; and
2) Our stores offer direct charity to people in need by giving away – through a voucher system – donated goods directly from store inventory. In the process, our store also provides a reasonably priced place for all to shop, and they offer full- or part-time employment for more than 15 individuals. The revenue from store sales help fund the needy in Ozaukee County.
Make Room in Your Heart & Make Space in Your Closet
Donations of a wide range of gently used goods are always needed to keep our store well-stocked. The store and several parish-based drop boxes are good options for easy drop-off of donated items. Ozaukee County donors are also welcome to call us at (262) 284-4637 to request that one of our trucks be scheduled for a convenient, free home pick-up of furniture, clothing and other gently used goods. We rely on these donations to support our programs helping our neighbors in need. Click here for information about donating goods to support our mission.
